System Requirements For After Effects CC 2022

So, let’s first look at the requirements for After Effects in 2022. Currently at the time of writing this article. The latest version is the “After Effects 22.1.1 (December 2021) release”. Below are the requirements,

Windows PC

The minimum requirement to run After Effects on Windows PC.

  • Processor: Intel or AMD Quad-Core (4 Cores) Processor.
  • Operating System (OS): Microsoft Windows 10 (64 bit) versions 1909 and later.
  • RAM: 16 GB of RAM.
  • GPU: 2GB GPU VRAM.
  • Storage: 10 GB – 15 GB Needed.
  • Resolution: 1920 x 1080 (Full HD).
  • Connection: An Internet Connection Required.

Now, the recommended system requirements to run After Effects smoothly on Windows PC.

  • Processor: Intel or AMD Hexa-Core (8 Cores) Processor or More For Multi-frame Rendering!
  • Operating System (OS): Microsoft Windows 10 (64 bit) versions 1909 and later.
  • RAM: 32 GB of RAM or More (64 GB RAM++)!
  • GPU: 4GB GPU VRAM or More.
  • Storage: 60 GB – 80 GB Recommended Storage Needed For Disk Cache Etc.
  • Resolution: 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) or 2560 x 1440 (QuadHD).
  • Connection: An Internet Connection Required.

Mac OS

The minimum requirement to run After Effects on MAC OS.

  • Processor: Intel And Apple Silicon Quad-Core (4 Cores) Processor (Rosetta2 Supported).
  • Operating System (OS): MacOS Versions 10.15 or MacOS Big Sur (11.), MacOS Monterey (12.).
  • RAM: 16 GB of RAM.
  • GPU: 2GB GPU VRAM.
  • Storage: 10 GB – 15 GB Needed.
  • Resolution: 1920 x 1080 (Full HD).
  • Connection: An Internet Connection Required.

Now, the recommended system requirements to run After Effects smoothly on MAC OS.

  • Processor: Intel And Apple Silicon Hexa-Core (8 Cores) Processor Or Higher (For Multi Frame Rendering).
  • Operating System (OS): macOS v10.15 (Catalina) or later
